Why talk about snow in July? Trust me, it is just about the last thing I would like to think about. But here is something to consider: seeding certain wildflowers while the last of our winter snow is still in place.
I tried this method with a pack of mixed California Poppies (Eschscholzia californica) to huge success. Poppies have a long tap root and do not like to be transplanted. While I have done this I have never ended up with this many poppies.
I will definitely try this experiment again!
